I read this article about the scientific Theory of Everything, last week. I quickly was struck by this very compelling urge to do/say something about it. Since, I am a member of the virtual world of Second Life I thought I might express this urge to respond, artistically. I could not stand to allow science having the only or last word on this controversial subject. Furthermore, the theory of everything is in fact a theory in the everyday sense of a guess. One could argue evidence that supports the theory. But, one could also argue evidence that refutes it. This refutation is what inspired me. This led to the creation of the Theory of Nothing, (inside Second Life) which is to me the opposite of Everything. I believe that life is dual in nature. So, if you have Everything, then there must be Nothing. Same as Joy and Sorrow, Birth and Death, and so on.
Secondly, no one scientific or religious body has a cornerstone on what is Truth. In my view, Truth resides in each individuals own heart. In the final analysis, its natural, and a suggested course of action, to approach life in a discriminatory manner. This can be done by reading, investigating, and where possible, experiencing that which puzzles you. Then you can say that you approached the 'thing' appropriately to assist your making a most valid assessment on what the truth about that 'thing' is.
If there is an absolute truth to things in life that are nebulous, like how this universe all began, evolution, etc., I believe this absolute truth would be "Beauty", and again this resides in YOUR heart and mine, which is seen/experienced differently by each of us.
I will post some pictures here soon.
